I originally designed "Challenging Homophobia" as an interpersonal workshop training in 1994 as the field study for my Master's Degree in Educational Technology at San Francisco State University. In 1998 I repurposed and published it online as a Web-based training.

At the time of the original creation of this material, I was living under the name Cait Downing as a member of the Lesbian community, although internally identified as male since childhood. I have since come out and transitioned as an FTM ("female-to-male") transsexual man and changed my name to Duncan Gibbs. I want the copyright for this material to acknowlege the identity I held at the genesis of the project, rather than elide once again (as so easily happens in this sexist society) the work and the political identity of a lesbian feminist (albeit the work of a man in lesbian feminists' clothing).
